The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
