Intensive Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks follow periods of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
