I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
